Case Studies

These case studies were created in Spring 2021 to provide real-world examples of Lawyer-Leadership. They tell the following stories:

Gabriella Barbosa (CLS '13) uses a community-based policymaking approach she learned in Columbia Law School's Center for Public Research and Leadership Public Education Policy Lab to effectuate change in the Los Angeles Unified School District.
Anurima Bhargava (CLS '02) charts a professional path that is unusual, impactful, and all her own after a series of unexpected turns early in her career.
Carolina Holderness (CLS '06) develops a relationship with advocate Cecilia Gentili and together they change the Manhattan DA Office's approach to the offenses of prostitution and loitering for the purpose of prostitution.
Davis Polk associate Gabe Rosenberg works together with senior partner Meg Tahyar to create an innovative approach to providing clients with the information they need in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis.
